Northern Beaches Advocate: Call for Airbnb clampdown
Council will call on the NSW Government to clamp down on short-term accommodation to ease the rental crisis.
Greens Councillor Kristyn Glanville (main image) is hailing the motion passed by Northern Beaches Council at the June 2023 meeting as a ‘major step’ by Council towards tackling the housing affordability crisis.
“With 14,000 households on the Northern Beaches in rental or mortgage stress, and local businesses and services struggling to find key workers due to the cost of local housing, there is a pressing social and economic need to ensure that we are tackling this serious issue.
