Northern Beaches Advocate: Call for compliance
Council is failing to reign in ‘cowboy’ developers, according to frustrated residents and a Northern Beaches Councillor.
Greens Councillor Kristyn Glanville (main image), who is also an environment and planning lawyer, says Council’s compliance team are overwhelmed by complaints about developments approved by private certifiers, that allegedly do not adhere to development controls.
“I’ve had a number of residents raise similar issues with me about development in their area that was taking place in a way that lacked approvals, or the approvals they had were not being complied with."
